Saturday, October 10, was inaugurated the season of winter swimming. At first glance, a desperate act – to swim in the river, when it’s +5, and the water temperature less than 10 degrees. However, for athletes from the “White bear” nothing is impossible.
– For us it’s not extreme, says Alina Levitskaya, Chairman of the Federation of winter swimming “polar bears”. It’s a way to stay in shape, be healthy and beautiful. Way to forget about colds, changes in blood pressure and headaches.
Looking at the “winter swimmers” I understand that everyone is able to harden ourselves, to be healthy and not to succumb to illnesses due to this sport. After all, if could a team of “polar bear” means that you can and every one of us. It does not have to be a professional athlete, enough desire to be completely healthy!
