The deputy from the party «Servants of the People» Galina Yanchenko said that it is necessary to submit an application to the Constitutional Court of Ukraine in order to determine the constitutionality of the State Bureau of Investigation.
She made this statement today, September 4, live.
«Since the Constitution does not have such a specific body as the SBI, there is no obligation on anyone (not a single body or official) to create such a body and appoint leadership, in fact we, as a country, are at constant risk of recognizing such a body as unconstitutional», - said Galina Yanchenko.
The MP believes that the very definition of the constitutionality of the SBI is vital for the functioning of the law enforcement system, it is this industry that should work independently and fulfill its responsibilities.
Not so long ago, ex-president Petro Poroshenko introduced the initiative to revise the law on the GBR, which he himself adopted.
Perhaps the GBR needs to be checked, but then the question arises - where did the deputies and the Constitutional Court look when they introduced the new body to the law enforcement system? There is no answer to it. This is again proof that the government is passing laws for itself. What do you think?
