Today, September 10 at 9.30 in the morning, the next interrogation of ex-President Petro Poroshenko was to be held in the State Security Bureau, but he did not come.
This was reported by the press secretary of the SSB Angelica Ivanova.
The former president was supposed to testify in a case of possible high treason. He is accused of failure to comply with a court decision on the appointment of members of the High Council of Justice.
According to Poroshenko’s lawyer Igor Golovan, the ex-president did not appear for questioning due to his work in parliament. The written testimony was transmitted to the State Security Bureau.
«For some reason, the RRG does not take into account the calendar of plenary meetings of the Verkhovna Rada ... they should understand that the work of the parliament is a good reason for not appearing for interrogation», - Golovan said.
It is not known for certain exactly how many cases Petro Poroshenko appears in, because the State Security Bureau has classified information from these industries.
Once again, the former president has good reason not to testify in the GDB. Now he is very busy working in parliament, although justice should work and everyone, despite their status, must answer according to the law for certain violations. Moreover, after the parliamentary immunity was lifted. Because a firm idea is being created that now every deputy who will be a party to the offense will hide behind his employment in parliament.
